Lust

Lust is often associated with excessive sexual desire that objectifies others and prioritizes physical pleasure over love and respect, leading to unethical behavior and intentional deception. However, Lust is not limited to hungers of the flesh. It is an inappropriate desire for what belongs to another, a temptation that when indulged, gives birth to sin. Lust, in unyielding desire for sex, wealth, power, or fame, leads to a blind indulgence that can have negative consequences. Rooted in Greed, Lust is inherently selfish, placing one’s own will and pleasure above the well-being and spiritual needs of another. It treats people as objects rather than as individuals with intrinsic worth, satisfying one’s own needs without regard for others. Lust is the choice to allow desire to overwhelm one’s wisdom and integrity.

In an overwhelming desire for a deeply tactile and sensuous experience, I altered this book by removing the pages and replacing them with gratifying textures.  Feathers meant to tickle your fancy are arranged in a flag structure, and if that’s not enough, some leather tassels may just whip you into shape. The cover is adorned in leather, lace, and chains.  Easily overlooked, the Bible verse Galatians 5:16 offers some righteous advice to the sinner.
